Rainbow Six Siege Year 2

Year 2 is Here

First off, no duh year 2 is out. This is more about is year 2 worth playing, is the season pass worth buying, and has the game improved?

To begin with, year 2 is a great experience. The new map as well as the promise of 4 more seasons of dlc is great to hear. The game has picked up speed and more people have been playing than when the game released. All the game has to offer is great and year 2 is definitely worth playing.

Secondly, the season pass is worth buying if you are new to the game, you play casually, you plan on playing for a long time, and if you enjoy saving money. The reason this is, is because the season pass gives you the 2 new season operators 1 week early access and it saves the player 25k renown. This is important because a player who plays around an hour a day may not have 25k renown on them. Another thing is that a casual player or a new player can try out new operators and show them the variety that makes rainbow six siege a great game. Most players that grind the game can gain 25k renown in a week’s time and don’t really need to get the season pass unless that player wants the operator as soon as possible. Another benefit of the year 2 season pass is if a player purchased the year 1 season pass that player gets 600 bonus r6 credits. Dedicated players should appreciate this offer because it means that if you don’t feel like grinding or you want to use that renown on something else that 600 r6 credit bonus can help with the purchase of cosmetics. For players that have extra room to spend the season pass may actually save you money. The season pass gives the player 10% off all store purchases. Personally, I have saved around $10 with this benefit. In conclusion, the season pass for year 2 is anything but not worth it.

The game has improved from year 1. Ranked queue times are at lightning speed and from my experience my connection has improved(unless you are on ps4). When it comes to Playstation 4 support, the servers are constantly down and that is the one downfall of year 2 so far. Luckily, I don’t play ps4 and could care less. The gameplay is fantastic and the new operators fit into the game perfectly. Most bugs have been fixed however with a new year there are new exploits. I personally feel like year 2 is great and Ubisoft Montreal will continue to improve the game for hopefully years to come.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands

Basic Information

The upcoming Ubisoft open world game Ghost Recon Wildlands is what many people are buzzing about. Personally, I have preordered the game and can’t wait for it’s release. The game takes place as many may know, in Bolivia. This South American country has been overrun by a massive Mexican cartel called Santa Blanca. The player’s job is to play solo or work with friends as a private military group called Ghost Recon, hense the title. This private military group don’t work for money but work for the sake of working.

My Meaningless Opinion

Now that we have got through the basic information I can give my opinion on the game as a whole. From the trailers as well as closed beta streamed at twitch.tv I can conclude that the map is going to be amazing. The variety of scenery looks fantastic and  the detail that went into the graphics is pleasing. However, with most games that have massive maps have stupid or little npc’s. This is the issue with Wildlands. The actual fighting and occasional story conversation is great but the free roaming seems to have no proper feel to it. Most areas that should have a lot of people, don’t. Most npc’s say the same thing as others in a different city.  One last thing to mention is how fantastic the vehicles look. The mechanics seem smooth and immersive. But then again, things change. These opinions are mostly based on only viewing footage and not actually playing.

Closing Statements

The open beta releases the 21st of February and closes the following Monday. My opinion on the game will most definitely change when I actually get to get my hands on a controller and play. This blog post is pretty shit and so are my opinions but this is the internet. I hope reading this blog doesn’t drive you to suicide and you take interest in a game full of potential. This is losergamer signing off. P.S. I don’t care if this blog is organized so you can go away and find something better to do.
